Game Overview
Triple-X for the Amiga is one of those games that feels like it was made in someone’s basement—in the best way possible. You’ve got this grid of tiles, and the goal is to match three X’s in a row, but the twist is that new tiles keep sliding in from the sides, pushing everything around. It sounds simple, but after a few rounds, you realize just how chaotic it gets.
The graphics are barebones—just colored X’s on a black background—but there’s something weirdly hypnotic about watching the board shift with every move. I kept thinking I had a match lined up, only for the whole thing to get scrambled by an incoming row. It’s the kind of game where you’ll mutter “one more try” at least five times before realizing half an hour’s gone by.
If you’ve got an Amiga and a soft spot for puzzle games that don’t overcomplicate things, this one’s worth a look. Just don’t blame me when you get stuck in a loop of near-misses.
