Play Tsumego Online
Staring at a Go board on that tiny screen, working through each stone’s placement—it starts simple, then suddenly you’re backtracking because one wrong move unravels everything. That quiet "got it" moment when the puzzle finally cracks makes all the head-scratching worth it.
Tsumego for Game Boy is one of those games that looks simple until you actually try it. You’re staring at a Go board with a handful of stones already placed, trying to figure out the exact sequence to capture or save a group. At first, the puzzles seem manageable—then suddenly you’re three moves deep realizing you messed up five minutes ago.
It’s weirdly satisfying in a way only Go players will get. No fancy animations, no sound effects—just you, the grid, and that little "aha" moment when the solution clicks. I’ve definitely lost track of time more than once trying to brute-force my way through a tricky one.
If you’ve ever played Go, this is like a portable training session. If you haven’t, well… maybe start with the beginner puzzles unless you enjoy feeling outsmarted by a 2-inch screen.
