This fan-made remake of Turrican II for Amiga takes the already-great DOS version and cranks it up. The colors pop way more thanks to AGA graphics, and all those little visual flourishes—like parallax scrolling and animated backgrounds—are back in. Feels like the game it was meant to be.
You’ve got options, too: two new difficulty modes, three extra gameplay twists, and controls that actually work with modern pads. Oh, and those hidden drones? Took me forever to spot the first one, but tracking all 24 down is weirdly satisfying. (No spoilers on the bonus, but it’s worth the hunt.)
Whether you’re replaying it or trying it for the first time, this version just gets it right. Even lets you cheat if you’re feeling lazy—not that I’d know anything about that.
