Ultimate Muscle: The Path of the Superhero came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by Aki Corporation and published by Bandai. It was part of that wave of licensed games that tried to capture the feel of a cartoon, in this case the anime series based on the Kinnikuman franchise. You don't see many wrestling games with this kind of over-the-top style on the handheld.
You control one of several super-powered wrestlers, moving from screen to screen in a side-scrolling beat 'em up. The main goal is to fight through waves of enemy Muscle League fighters, building up your power meter to unleash special super moves. The combat relies on simple combos and grappling, with a focus on timing your big attacks for maximum effect. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some enemy encounters can get hectic. It feels like a solid, if simple, portable brawler that gets the job done.
