Game Overview

Vattle Giuce is a Japan-only Game Boy release from 1990, developed by TOSE and published by Irem. It arrived during the handheld's early years, a time when developers were still exploring what the system could do with action and puzzle hybrids. The game doesn't have much recognition outside dedicated collector circles, but it presents a distinct take on block-stacking under pressure.

You control a character who must stack colored blocks as they fall from above, while small enemies wander the playfield and disrupt your progress. The main objective is to complete each stage by building structures to a certain height without letting the screen fill. Key mechanics include matching block colors to make them disappear and using a limited-use bomb item to clear clustered enemies. The pacing is relentless; the blocks drop quickly, and the enemies become more numerous and aggressive as you advance. It feels like a race against mounting disorder, where every move has to count.
