Play Victory Road Amiga Online
Side-scrolling action game with run-and-gun mechanics. Features enemy waves, power-ups, weapon upgrades, and boss battles. Released in 1986 for Amiga.

Victory Road came out for the Amiga in 1986, developed by Access Software. It arrived early in the Amiga's life, a time when many developers were still figuring out how to use the machine's capabilities for action games. This title stood out for its attempt to blend run-and-gun shooting with a more methodical, almost tactical pace.
You control a lone soldier advancing from left to right across varied terrain, fighting off waves of enemy soldiers, drones, and vehicles. Your main goal is simply to survive each stage and defeat the boss waiting at the end. Key mechanics include collecting different weapon power-ups that change your firepower, and managing your movement carefully to avoid enemy fire since the screen scrolls continuously. The game is challenging; enemies attack from all directions, and you have limited opportunities to recover health. It feels tense and deliberate, demanding focus more than reckless speed.
