Game Overview

Vindicators on the Amiga is one of those games that makes you feel like you're barely holding it together—in a good way. You're piloting this clunky tank droid against an alien invasion, and steering feels like wrestling with a shopping cart at first. But that's part of the charm.

The Tangent Empire’s space stations sprawl in every direction, so you’re constantly swiveling the screen to spot enemies or dodge fire. I kept forgetting to grab those floating energy stars at first, until I realized they’re the only way to upgrade your tank’s sluggish speed or wimpy weapons between levels. Each station has three sub-levels you can tackle in any order, which is nice when you hit a wall and need to try a different approach.

It’s chaotic, a little unforgiving, and weirdly satisfying once you get the hang of it. Just don’t expect to feel like a precision war machine—more like a determined trash can with lasers.
