War in Middle Earth: Disk 2 is one of those classic Amiga titles that throws you straight into the chaos of Tolkien’s world. If you’ve played Disk 1, you already know the drill—command armies, manage resources, and try not to get overrun by Sauron’s forces. This disk picks up where the last one left off, with more battles, more strategy, and that same old-school pixelated charm.
What I love about it is how unforgiving it can be—no hand-holding here. You’ll be scrambling to position your troops, sending Gandalf on last-minute rescue missions, and cursing when the Nazgûl show up at the worst possible moment. The interface takes some getting used to, but once it clicks, you’ll feel like a proper Middle-earth general.
Just don’t expect modern conveniences. This is pure ’80s strategy, warts and all.
