Wario Land 4 is one of those weird, brilliant GBA games where you play as the bad guy—sort of. Wario storms into a pyramid after hearing about hidden treasure (of course he does), and suddenly you're shoulder-barging enemies, smashing through walls, and occasionally getting turned into a zombie or a puffy balloon version of yourself. Yeah, some enemies don’t hurt you—they just mess with your abilities in the best way possible.
The levels are packed with secrets, and half the fun is figuring out how to use Wario’s weird transformations to backtrack and grab stuff you missed. It’s chaotic, a little janky in that classic GBA way, and honestly way more creative than it had any right to be. If you like platformers that don’t take themselves too seriously, this one’s a gem.
