Play Waterloo Amiga Online
1989 Amiga strategy simulation of the 1815 Battle of Waterloo. Play as Napoleon or Wellington with text-based orders, delayed command execution, and limited battlefield visibility. Single-player campaign ends at historical 9:30 pm conclusion.

I first played Waterloo on the Amiga back in 1989, a strategy game from Strategic Simulations, Inc. and Mirrorsoft. It was a serious, detailed simulation of the famous battle, fitting right in with the kind of deep, thoughtful games the Amiga was known for at the time. You didn't get flashy graphics; you got substance, and this game had plenty of it.
You take command as either Napoleon or Wellington, issuing orders to your corps and cavalry through a text based interface. The key twist is that those orders take real time to reach your units, just like they would have in 1815. You're constantly managing your limited view of the battlefield, trying to anticipate where the enemy will strike next while your own commands slowly filter down the chain. The objective is to achieve a decisive victory before the clock runs out at the historical conclusion time of 9:30 PM. It's a slow, deliberate game that demands patience and foresight, making you feel the immense weight of command with every decision you make.
