Play Whip Rush – Wakusei Voltegas no Nazo Online

Whip Rush came out for the Sega Genesis in 1990, published by Renovation Products. It was one of many shoot 'em ups on the system at the time, not particularly flashy but solid in its execution. You don't hear much about it these days, but it had a certain straightforward appeal if you were into the genre back then.

You pilot a small, nimble spacecraft through seven stages, each filled with enemy ships, obstacles, and large bosses. Your main goal is to survive to the end, destroying everything in your path. The ship can collect different weapon power ups, like lasers and homing missiles, which you switch between as needed. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty ramps up noticeably in later levels, demanding quick reflexes and smart weapon choices. It feels responsive and challenging, a decent way to spend an afternoon if you enjoy methodical destruction.
