Game Overview
Wicked is one of those Amiga games that sticks with you—mostly because it’s equal parts frantic and weirdly strategic. You’re fighting this creeping evil that spreads through spores, some good, some bad, and your job is to tip the balance before the screen gets overrun. At first, it feels like a shooter—you’re blasting away at the nasty spores—but then you realize you’ve got to manually scoop up the good ones and plant them like seeds in smart spots. Mess up the timing, and suddenly everything’s crawling with enemies.
The guardians flying around are the worst. Touch one, and you’re in trouble, but they also add this layer of tension where you’re dodging them while trying to manage the spore chaos. And just when you think you’ve got a rhythm, the game throws tarot cards at you—some help, some screw you over—and the day/night cycle changes how fast everything grows. You can tweak the gameplay to be more action-heavy or strategic, but either way, it’s a weird, satisfying scramble. One of those games where you lose track of time because you’re always one move away from either winning or total disaster.
