This one takes me back—Winter Olympics on the Amiga was one of those games we’d crowd around after school, arguing over who got to be the bobsleigh guy. The pixelated snow somehow felt cold, and the downhill skiing had this weirdly satisfying momentum where you’d wipe out spectacularly if you leaned too hard into turns. Disk 3 specifically had the speed skating, which was basically frantic button-mashing until your thumbs hurt, but in the best way possible.

It’s janky by today’s standards, obviously, but there’s something about the way the Amiga’s sound chip screeches during the ski jump that just sticks with you. You’ll either love it or wonder why we ever put up with floppy disk swaps mid-game.
