You control a bowler at the end of a lane, using the D-pad to aim left or right and a button to set the power and spin of your throw. The main goal is to knock down all ten pins, frame after frame, trying to beat either a computer opponent or a friend via link cable. Key mechanics include adjusting your position for each shot and applying English to the ball to curve its path into the pocket. The game moves at a deliberate pace, letting you focus on each throw, and the difficulty comes from nailing the timing and reading the lane conditions. It feels satisfying to see a well-placed ball explode the pins, especially when you're trying to pick up a tricky spare.
