Play Wrestle War Online
You play as Bruce Blade in this over-the-top Genesis wrestling game—dodge the ropes as the ring spins, land grapples before your opponent recovers, and soak in those crunchy 16-bit crowd cheers.

Wrestle War came out for the Sega Genesis in 1991, developed and published by Sega. It was part of that early wave of wrestling games on the system, before the more simulation-heavy titles started to dominate. It had a very distinct, almost cartoonish energy that set it apart from what was on the NES at the time.
You control one of eight wrestlers, each with their own exaggerated style, and the goal is to win a tournament by pinning or submitting your opponents. The mechanics are built around timing your grapples; you have to get in close, initiate a hold, and then quickly tap buttons to execute a move before the other guy can reverse it. The ring itself rotates between matches, which changes your perspective and keeps you on your toes. It's not an easy game; the AI can be relentless with its reversals, so you have to be precise. The feeling is pure arcade chaos, a fast and loud test of reflexes where every successful body slam feels like a small victory.
