Game Overview

Ever played dodgeball and thought, "This needs more body slams"? Wrestleball is that exact fever dream—a Sega Genesis gem where hulking wrestlers chuck balls at each other like it's the Olympics of absurdity. You pick your steroid-fueled athlete (my favorite's the guy who looks like he bench-presses refrigerators) and immediately start hurling projectiles while dodging like your pride depends on it. Which it does.

The ring's tiny, the physics are nonsense, and someone always ends up spamming throws in the corner—but that's the charm. It's got that early '90s Japanese quirkiness where everything's neon and muscles have their own gravitational pull. Two-player mode turns into pure chaos, especially when you realize you can clothesline someone after nailing them with a ball. Sega never released this outside Japan, which explains why it feels like someone mixed Street Fighter II with a gym class gone rogue.

Honestly? It shouldn't work. But here we are, thirty years later, still yelling at the screen when the AI suddenly remembers it has perfect aim.
