Play Xin Qigai Wangzi (China) (Alt) (Unl) Online
You jump, swing your weirdly long sword at floating heads, and wrestle with janky physics—it’s like playing a bootleg Genesis game someone cooked up in their garage, and that’s why it rules.

Game Overview
Ever heard of Xin Qigai Wangzi? It’s one of those weird, rare Genesis games that feels like it fell out of a time capsule—unofficial Chinese release, rough but colorful sprites, and that janky-but-lovable platforming only '90s SEGA could pull off. The first level throws you right into it: jumping over pits, smacking enemies with what I think is a sword (or maybe a really long stick?), and dodging projectiles that come out of nowhere. It’s got that "someone’s basement ROM hack" energy, but in the best way.
Don’t go in expecting Sonic-level polish—some of the hitboxes are questionable, and the music loops after like 10 seconds—but that’s part of the charm. If you’re into obscure retro stuff, this feels like uncovering a secret. I’d take it over another generic licensed platformer any day.
