Play Zargon Online
Action-adventure game with maze-like levels. Features shooting, dodging, puzzles, power-ups, and boss battles. Released in 1992 for Amiga.
Zargon came out in 1992 for the Amiga, a game from the era when top-down action adventures were common. It was developed by Krisalis Software, and it fit right in with the platform's library of exploratory, combat-focused titles.
You control a lone hero navigating a series of maze-like dungeons, fighting monsters and hunting for keys to unlock doors. The main goal is to survive each level, defeat the boss, and progress deeper. Signature mechanics include screen-by-screen exploration, switching between a sword for close combat and a bow for ranged attacks, and collecting power-ups to boost your health or firepower. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty can be punishing, demanding careful movement and resource management. It feels tense and methodical, where every corner turned could mean a quick death or a hard-won victory.
