Game Overview

Zeewolf is one of those Amiga games that somehow makes flying a tiny helicopter feel both intense and weirdly tactical. At first glance, it’s all about blasting enemy units with your chaingun, but then you realize half the missions involve rescuing stranded soldiers or sneaking a spy into enemy territory. The controls take a second to click—mouse support feels odd at first, but once you get used to nudging the chopper around, it’s surprisingly smooth.

The isometric view gives you just enough of the battlefield to plan your next move, though you’ll still panic when three tanks suddenly roll into view. Little details like water splashes when you skim the ocean or the way smoke curls from burning wrecks make the world feel alive. And yeah, the map display is a lifesaver when you’re trying to remember where that one refueling point was hiding.

It’s not just about firepower—sometimes the smartest move is dropping off medics or letting friendly units cover you while you reload. The missions keep mixing things up, so you’re never just doing the same thing twice.
