Zoids Saga Fuzors came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2004, developed and published by Tomy. It was one of those mid-lifecycle GBA titles that didn't get a ton of attention, but if you were into mechs or tactical RPGs, it was a solid find. The game sits comfortably in that era where developers were really pushing what the hardware could do with sprite work and turn based systems, even if the story was mostly there to get you into the next robot scrap.

You control a team of pilots, each commanding their own Zoid, and you move them across grid based maps to engage enemy units in turn based combat. Your main goal is to progress through the story by winning these tactical battles, which often involve seizing control points or wiping out all opposition. Two of the most distinct mechanics are the Fuzor system, where you can combine two of your Zoids during battle to create a more powerful, hybrid unit, and the ability to capture and customize enemy Zoids to add to your own roster. The pacing is deliberate, with a moderate difficulty that asks you to think a couple moves ahead rather than just overpower everything. It feels like a satisfying puzzle every time you line up a perfect attack or pull off a risky fusion.
