Man, 4D Sports Boxing on the Amiga was something else. You step into this weirdly blocky ring where the fighters look like they’re made of Lego bricks, but somehow it just works. The controls take a second to get used to—jabs, hooks, uppercuts, all mapped to different keys—but once you get the rhythm down, it’s oddly satisfying. The AI isn’t pushover either; they’ll dodge and counter if you just swing wildly.

What really stood out was the way the camera angles shift during fights, almost like a real broadcast. One moment you’re side-on, the next you’re looking over your boxer’s shoulder as they duck under a punch. It’s janky by today’s standards, but back then? Pure magic. And that digitized crowd noise? Cheesy, but it somehow adds to the charm.

Just don’t expect a deep career mode—this is straight-up arcade boxing with a side of early ‘90s nostalgia. Still holds up if you’re into retro sports games.
