A Bug's Life came out on the Nintendo 64 in 1998, developed by Traveller's Tales. It was one of many platformers on the system, based directly on the Pixar film, and it captured the look and feel of that world pretty well for its time.
You control Flik, an ant trying to gather food and resources to save the colony from the grasshoppers. The game involves a lot of jumping across platforms, collecting berries and other items, and using seeds as projectiles to fight off enemies. You explore various environments screen by screen, solving simple puzzles and navigating hazards like birds or larger insects. The pacing is generally straightforward, though some sections can feel a bit repetitive. It feels like a light, family friendly adventure that stays close to the movie's story.
