Play A Ressha de Ikou (Japan) Online
Pick a route, time your stops, and try not to derail your tiny train while other routes pile up—that "WRONG WAY" jingle haunts me.

A Ressha de Ikou is one of those NES games that sounds boring until you actually play it—then suddenly you're weirdly invested in making sure your tiny pixel train doesn’t derail. You start by picking a route (I always go for the countryside first—fewer disasters), and then it’s all about timing stops just right so passengers hop on without causing a traffic jam.
The controls are simple—just left and right to switch tracks—but things get hectic fast when multiple trains show up. Miss a switch, and you’ll send some poor commuter to the wrong town while the game plays this hilariously dramatic "WRONG WAY" jingle. The graphics are pure 8-bit charm, with little stations and passengers who look like they’re straight out of an old anime.
It’s not flashy, but there’s something weirdly zen about nailing a perfect run. Just don’t blame me when you catch yourself muttering "Okay, one more try" at 2 AM.
