Ace Lightning for the Game Boy Advance came out in 2002, published by Bam! Entertainment. It was based on the live-action/CGI kids' show, and on the GBA it fit right in with a lot of other licensed action-platformers of the time. You don't see it talked about much now, but it had a certain charm if you were into that sort of thing.
You control Ace, a superhero from another dimension, running and jumping through side-scrolling stages. The main goal is to fight through each level, defeat the enemies, and take down the boss waiting at the end. You have a basic attack combo and can collect different elemental orbs that change your weapon, like switching to a fire sword or ice blasts. The levels are linear but encourage some exploration to find hidden items and health upgrades. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some enemy patterns can get annoying. It feels like a competent, if unspectacular, way to pass the time with a cartoon hero.
