Adventures of Lolo 3 came out for the NES in 1991, developed by HAL Laboratory. It was part of that wave of later NES titles that really leaned into pure puzzle design, without much reliance on action or story. You just got a grid, some enemies, and a very clear set of rules to work within.
You control Lolo, a round blue hero, through a series of single-screen rooms. Your goal is to collect all the hearts in a room to open a treasure chest and get the key to the exit. The main mechanics involve pushing blocks to create barriers or pathways, and using your shots to temporarily turn enemies into eggs that can then be pushed around. The pacing is deliberate; you often have to stop and analyze the entire layout before making a move. It feels like carefully untangling a knot with your mind.
