Play Aero the Acro-Bat 2 Online
You flip, spin, and propeller-dive through Edgar's ridiculous death traps, bouncing off springs and barely dodging spikes like some kind of caffeine-fueled circus act. That 90s Genesis energy hits just right.

Aero the Acro-Bat 2 came out in 1994 for the Sega Genesis, developed by Iguana Entertainment and published by Sunsoft. It was part of that wave of mid-90s platformers that tried to stand out with attitude and a mascot; Aero was their answer to Sonic or Bubsy, a bat with big eyes and an acrobatic gimmick.
You control Aero through side-scrolling stages, jumping between platforms, bouncing off springs, and using his propeller spin to attack enemies or glide short distances. The goal is to rescue your sidekick, Zero the Flying Squirrel, by collecting keys and defeating bosses. The levels are packed with hazards: spikes, crushers, and enemies that require quick timing to avoid. It's a fast game, sometimes too fast, with a difficulty that can feel punishing if you miss a jump. Playing it feels like trying to keep a pinball in motion, constantly reacting and hoping your next flip lands safely.
