Play After Burst Online
You play as a robot tweaking bullet angles mid-air, knocking out blocks to reach the target while dodging enemies—mess up and you might trap yourself. Sometimes a boss crashes the party, or you can duel a friend in scrap-metal showdowns.
After Burst is one of those weird little Game Boy gems where you play as a robot with a gun—but not just any gun. You can tweak the shot angle and hold the button to adjust how far your bullets fly, which sounds simple until you're mid-jump trying to calculate trajectories while blocks collapse under you. Every level's a single screen, and your goal is always to blast this glowing orb, but getting there means dodging other robots, figuring out which blocks to shoot (knock out the wrong one and you might trap yourself), and occasionally racing against a timer.
Oh, and sometimes a giant boss shows up to ruin your day. The duel mode's a nice touch too—side-view battles where you and a friend (or the AI) can blast each other into scrap metal. It's got that satisfying "one more try" feel when you barely miss a jump or mistime a shot. Definitely more tactical than it looks at first glance.
