Game Overview

AirForce Delta Storm is one of those rare GBA games that actually makes you feel like you're piloting a fighter jet—not bad for a handheld. You start off picking from a handful of planes (the F-14 feels way heavier than the MiG-29, which was my go-to), and then you're immediately thrown into dogfights with tight controls and surprisingly smooth Mode 7 graphics. Missions range from escort duty to all-out aerial brawls, and yeah, the lock-on system takes some getting used to, but once it clicks, weaving through missiles feels satisfying.

It's a direct sequel to the original AirForce Delta, though you don't need to have played that one to jump in. The GBA version holds up better than you'd expect—way more polished than the Game Boy Color release. Just don't expect Xbox-level detail.

If you're into arcade-style flight games, this one's a solid pick for short bursts or long sessions.
