Alienators: Evolution Continues came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Mode7 and published by Conspiracy Entertainment. It was part of that early wave of GBA action games, built for quick sessions and straightforward shooting. The hardware could handle fast movement and decent enemy counts, and this game made use of that.
You control a soldier fighting through infested city streets and industrial zones, clearing each screen of aliens before moving on. Your main goal is to exterminate the evolving alien threat using an arsenal that includes a flamethrower, a shotgun, and grenades. Enemies mutate during combat, changing form and attack patterns, which forces you to adapt on the fly. The pacing is relentless; you are almost always surrounded, and the challenge comes from managing crowds while watching for sudden transformations. It feels tense and chaotic, like you are barely holding back the swarm.
