Play Altered Space Online
You’re in a glitchy Game Boy world where doors teleport you, walls don’t behave, and sometimes the whole room flips upside-down while you’re still in it.

Altered Space is one of those Game Boy games that makes you question if your console’s haunted. You start in this grainy, green-tinted room—seems normal, until the floor suddenly becomes the ceiling and a door you just walked through spits you out somewhere completely different. It’s not just "flip a switch" puzzles; the whole world feels like it’s glitching on purpose.
The first time an enemy phased straight through a wall, I nearly dropped my Game Boy. And don’t get me started on the level where left is right and up is down—took me way too long to realize I was solving it upside-down. It’s got that janky, lo-fi aesthetic, but in a way that makes the weirdness even creepier. Like someone took the best parts of a puzzle platformer and ran them through a VHS tape left in the rain.
It’s short, yeah, but I’ve replayed it three times just to catch all the little mind-bending details I missed. If you’re into games that feel like they shouldn’t exist on a 90s handheld, this one’s a must.
