American Battle Dome came out for the Super Nintendo in 1995, developed by Tsukuda Original. It was one of those late-era SNES games that tried to push the hardware with a unique concept, a wrestling-meets-obstacle-course fighter that felt different from anything else on the system at the time.
You control a muscle-bound wrestler and navigate a single-screen arena filled with hazards like swinging wrecking balls and electrified floors. The main goal is to knock your opponent out of the ring using a mix of basic grapples, punches, and the stage's own dangerous traps. The pacing is frantic, almost chaotic, with constant movement required to avoid instant defeat. It feels like trying to brawl in a malfunctioning funhouse where everything is actively trying to throw you out.
