Amnios_Disk1 is one of those Amiga shooters that feels familiar at first—you're spinning and thrusting around like in Asteroids, blasting away at infected planets. But then it throws you a curveball: you don’t just mindlessly shoot everything. Each level gives you two ways to win—either wipe out enough of the infection or rescue enough civilians before time runs out.
The cool part? You can actually craft better weapons mid-level if you find blueprints floating around. I remember stumbling on one early and thinking, "Wait, I can upgrade this pea shooter?" Suddenly those giant pulsating organs (yeah, the infection looks as gross as it sounds) weren’t so intimidating. Just don’t get too distracted hunting for blueprints—those civilians won’t rescue themselves.
It’s got that old-school challenge where you’ll retry levels just to see if you can save a few more people or find a smarter way to take down the infection. The rotation controls take a minute to get used to, but once it clicks, weaving through enemy fire feels oddly satisfying.
