Game Overview

Arthur and the Invisibles came out on Game Boy Advance in 2007, developed by Étranges Libellules and published by Atari. It was part of that late GBA wave where licensed games still tried to offer something more than a quick cash-in, even if they didn't always hit the mark. The game is based on the animated film, sending you into the miniature world of the Minimoys.

You control Arthur, navigating a mix of platforming and light puzzle-solving across interconnected screens. Your main goal is to rescue the princess and help the tiny people, which involves jumping across oversized plants, pushing blocks, and avoiding creatures. Combat is simple, mostly just whacking enemies with a sword when they get too close. The pacing is deliberate, sometimes slow, and the controls can feel a bit imprecise, which adds to the challenge. Playing it feels like exploring a dense, slightly awkward diorama where every screen holds a small secret.
