Backyard Baseball GBA is one of those games that feels simple at first, but there's a weird charm to it. You pick a team of kids with exaggerated stats—some are tiny but fast, others swing like they're hitting a beach ball. The field looks like someone's actual backyard, complete with trees and fences that sometimes stop the ball.
I remember my first game, thinking it would be easy until Pablo Sanchez crushed a homer over my head. The controls take a minute to get used to, especially fielding, where you kinda just hope your player runs to the right spot.
