Game Overview
Banzai_Disk1 is one of those classic Amiga games that feels like it was ripped straight from a low-budget action movie—in the best way possible. You're a kamikaze pilot who gets shot down and tossed into a prison camp, where a wounded comrade hands you some urgent intel that needs to reach command fast. Three days to deliver it, or it's worthless. No pressure.
At first, all you've got is a knife, which feels about as useful as it sounds against machine guns. But soon you're grabbing rifles and grenades, chucking explosives with a dramatic "BANZAI!" yell (pushing up on the joystick—old-school controls at their finest). The energy bar drains fast, and between enemy soldiers, surprise airstrikes, and minefields, everything wants you dead. Watch out for deep water too—apparently, your guy never learned to swim.
It's chaotic, a little janky, and exactly the kind of over-the-top action that makes retro games so fun to revisit. Just don't expect to survive long on your first try.
