Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus is one of those GBA games that surprised me—it’s actually pretty fun if you’re into light adventure puzzles. You play as Annika, teaming up with her winged horse sister Brieta (yeah, that’s a thing) to undo a wizard’s curse that turned everyone to stone. The flying sections feel breezy, and some of the mini-games—like memory puzzles or rhythm-based challenges—are weirdly satisfying for a licensed game.
It’s not super deep, but the art has that early 2000s Barbie charm, and switching between ground puzzles and flying levels keeps it from getting stale. Just don’t expect Dark Souls—this is pure, uncomplicated fantasy fluff. Perfect for short bursts between bus rides or when you want something cheerful to unwind with.
