Okay, so Barbie Secret Agent is way more fun than I expected. You basically jet around the world with Barbie—London, Beijing, Venice, Mexico City—solving little puzzles and sneaking past guards. The art’s actually pretty nice for a GBA game, with these bright, cartoony locations. And yeah, it’s totally cheesy in that early 2000s Barbie way, but the mini-games (like decoding messages or picking locks) are weirdly satisfying.
Pro tip: The China level has this stealth section where you’ve gotta dodge spotlights, and I messed it up like five times before realizing you can hide behind potted plants. Classic spy stuff, but with pink sunglasses.
It’s short and silly, but if you’re into lighthearted adventure games, this one’s a surprisingly decent time-waster.
