Battle Soccer: Field no Hasha came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, developed by Banpresto. It was part of that early wave of SNES games that experimented with mixing genres, taking a familiar sport and twisting it into something more aggressive and chaotic. You don't see many games like it, even from that era.
You control a team of characters, each with unique stats, across a single-screen field. The main objective is to score goals, but you spend just as much time body-checking opponents and stealing the ball through force. Signature mechanics include charging up super shots that can blast through multiple players and using special team-based attacks. The pacing is fast and the difficulty can spike sharply, especially against the computer. It feels like playing a brawler that just happens to use a ball.
