Beastlord came out on the Amiga in 1993 from Grandslam Video Ltd. It was a time when side-scrolling action games with a fantasy theme were common, and this one fit right in with its detailed pixel art and large, interconnected world to explore. You play as a warrior tasked with breaking a curse, moving through forests, caves, and enemy strongholds.

You control a lone hero who fights with a sword and later a bow, screen by screen, against orcs and other creatures. The main goal is to free three guardians by finding keys and solving environmental puzzles, some of which only work during specific times of day. You also have to manage a hunger meter by hunting animals or finding food, and you can trade items with characters you meet.
