Beyblade: Metal Fusion came out for the Nintendo DS in 2010, developed by Hudson Soft. It was one of those tie-in games that felt right at home on the handheld, especially if you were into the anime or just liked spinning tops. You control a Beyblade in arena battles, using the stylus to aim your launch and tapping the screen to activate attacks and special moves. The main goal is to win tournaments, upgrade your Bey, and uncover a plot involving a corrupted organization. Key mechanics include customizing your Beyblade's performance parts (like spin tracks and energy rings) and pulling off screen-tapping combos during fights. The pacing is fairly quick; matches don’t drag, but some later opponents demand better gear and timing. It feels satisfying when your customized top out-spins a rival and you land a flashy special move to clinch the win.
