So you remember Dark Castle? This sequel picks up right after the gargoyle drops Prince Duncan (yep, he finally got a name) behind the Black Knight's throne. The first thing you'll do is grab a torch from the fireplace—except the whole wall spins around, revealing this eerie Ante Room with five empty pedestals. Your job? Hunt down five magic orbs to unlock the final showdown.

It plays like the original but with way more going on—15 levels, five of which actually scroll (a big deal back then). The Swamp and Black Forest levels are wild because you can find a helicopter pack—just don’t forget to grab gas for it, or you’re stuck slogging through the muck. Bombs, keys, maze-like labyrinths… it’s a lot, but in a good way.

They tweaked the health system too—some enemies chip away at you instead of insta-killing, and elixirs give temporary protection (though it drains over time). Pro tip: scarf down food or bail to another level to recharge. Oh, and there’s a Computer Room now where you can save—no more starting from scratch every time. If you’re feeling brave, Advanced mode even changes the ending. Pretty slick for an Amiga sequel.
