Combat’s straightforward—no fancy ranged weapons, just swords, shields, and hoping your armor holds up. There’s a hospital where you can check your stats (handy when you forget who’s your tank), and a bank to stash cash so thieves don’t clean you out. No interest, though—apparently medieval bankers weren’t into compound growth.

The dungeons are color-coded like some bizarre retro rainbow, and you’ve gotta tackle them in a specific order depending on your version. Miss a step, and good luck finding the stairs to the Black Tower where the Onyx’s waiting. It’s janky, but there’s something satisfying about mapping each floor with graph paper like it’s 1987 all over again.
