Body Blows Galactic is the sequel to the original Amiga fighter, and it cranks up the weirdness in the best way. You’ve got Dan and Junior—basically the devs’ self-inserts—repping Earth in some intergalactic brawl against fighters from five other planets. Titanica’s all high-tech, Eclipse is split between factions, and Feminion? Yeah, that one’s exactly what it sounds like.
The controls are simple—one-button specials, charge moves, the usual—but the real fun is in the absurd roster. Ever wanted to punch a prehistoric Gellorn-5 warrior or a mutated Miasma freak? Now’s your chance. Single-player’s a straight-up ladder climb, but the multiplayer’s where it shines. Four (or even eight) players can jump into a tournament, and things get gloriously chaotic fast.
It’s not the deepest fighter, but the sheer personality makes up for it. Just don’t expect Feminion to go easy on you.
