You bonk dinosaurs with your big ol' caveman head across new stages, with a handy overworld map to track your progress—feels surprisingly good for a Game Boy port.
Bonk’s Adventure on Game Boy is a solid little port, but don’t expect it to be identical to the TurboGrafx version. You still get that satisfying headbutt combat, but now there’s an overworld map to navigate—kinda neat for a handheld game at the time. The HUD’s been moved to the bottom, which honestly makes more sense on the small screen.
They threw in six new stages and tweaked the story (something about King Drool kidnapping the Moon Princess this time). Some mechanics from Bonk’s Revenge sneak in too, so it’s not just a straight downgrade. It’s chunkier and simpler than the original, but still weirdly charming in that caveman-bonking-dinosaurs way.
