Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure came out in 1994 for the Sega Genesis, developed by Interplay Entertainment. It was one of those games that stood out in the platformer era not for its polish, but for its willingness to be completely absurd. While other games focused on heroic quests or cartoon mascots, this one dove headfirst into bathroom humor and didn't look back.
You control Boogerman, a superhero whose powers are entirely gross. The main goal is to explore levels screen by screen, defeating enemies and finding keys to progress. Your primary attacks are picking your nose to flick boogers and unleashing powerful burps. You also use a super fart jump to cross wide gaps. The pacing is fairly standard for the time, but the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later stages. Playing it feels like navigating a bizarre, slimy playground where every action is deliberately immature.
