Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure came out for the Super Nintendo in 1995, published by Interplay. In an era full of bright, family-friendly platformers, Boogerman leaned hard into bathroom humor and didn't care who it offended.
You control Melvin Sneedly, a scientist who transforms into the titular hero to rescue his lab assistant. The goal is to explore a series of side-scrolling levels, defeating enemies by picking your nose and flicking the resulting projectiles at them. You can also collect and consume various disgusting items like burps and farts to regain health or activate special abilities, such as a powerful methane-powered jump. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some enemy patterns and platforming sections require precise timing. It feels silly and juvenile in the best way, like you're getting away with something your parents wouldn't approve of.
