Super Bomberman 5 is the last one they made for the SNES, and honestly, it feels a lot like 3 and 4—just with a fresh coat of paint. You get a new story mode (because of course you do) and some different battle arenas, but the core gameplay hasn’t changed much. Blow stuff up, dodge explosions, repeat.
One neat thing is you can play as the bosses from story mode in battle mode, though they don’t have any special abilities this time around. Kind of a missed opportunity if you ask me, but hey, at least they look cool. If you’ve played any of the earlier Super Bomberman games, you’ll know exactly what you’re getting here—just more of that chaotic, bomb-dropping fun.
