I first played Bomberman on MS-DOS back in the early 90s, one of those classic games from Hudson Soft that felt perfectly at home on a beige desktop computer. It wasn't trying to be flashy; it was just a straightforward, clever little game that you could boot up and play without a manual. The graphics were simple, the sound was tinny, but it had this immediate pull, especially if you had a friend sitting next to you.

You control a little character in a maze, dropping bombs to blow up obstacles and enemies. The main goal is to clear each screen of all enemies to advance, but the real fun starts when you collect power-ups. These let you drop more bombs at once, increase their blast radius, or even kick bombs across the floor. The pacing is quick; you're always moving, planning your next bomb placement while dodging your own explosions and enemy patrols. It feels tense and frantic, especially in multiplayer where every match becomes a chaotic race to outsmart your friends.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
