Bomberman Tournament came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Hudson Soft. You control Bomberman through a world of interconnected screens, laying bombs to blast through obstacles and enemies. The main goal involves exploring dungeons, solving environmental puzzles, and collecting the five elemental stones to progress. Signature mechanics include the classic bomb placement and dodging, screen by screen exploration that gradually opens up the world, and an RPG-like system where you befriend and use Karabon creatures for special abilities. The pacing is methodical, with difficulty that spikes in certain boss fights or maze-like areas. It feels satisfying to slowly master each area's layout and use your growing arsenal to push further into the adventure.
