Game Overview

Super Bomberman 1 on SNES is where I first learned the art of blowing up friends—and loving every second of it. You start in this grid of breakable blocks, dropping bombs to carve paths while dodging the blast radius (or, more often, failing to). The power-ups are what make it: suddenly you're sprinting faster, tossing bombs farther, or—my personal favorite—detonating them on command just as your buddy thinks he's safe.

The AI enemies are decent for practice, but the real magic happens in multiplayer. Four players, one screen, and way too much shouting. Later Bomberman games added more bells and whistles, but this one nails the basics so well that you won’t care. Just don’t blame me when your living room turns into a warzone over who "totally meant to do that" kamikaze move.
